What To Do When Your Hyundai Lease Ends
What Are My Lease-End Options?
As the end of your lease nears, it is important to understand your options. Due to current inventory shortages of new Hyundai vehicles, we recommend you begin considering your options 6 months prior to your lease expiration.
1 - Purchase or Lease a New Hyundai
Whether you enjoyed your Hyundai and are interested in upgrading to the new model year or your wants and needs have evolved, and you are looking to change it up - no matter what, we appreciate your business and will do everything we can to ensure we get you the right Hyundai. Maybe you need something bigger or small or even a hybrid or Electric vehicle is more your pace now - we would love to assist you in getting the perfect Hyundai. With the current inventory shortage of new vehicles, it is important to let us know which new Hyundai you are interested in early so we can reserve an incoming unit for you.
2 - Keep Your Hyundai
If you decide to keep your current Hyundai, you can purchase
the vehicle for the current payoff quote. You will not be required to pay any
excess mileage and use/wear charges; however, you will be responsible for any
applicable sales tax, registration fees, and any other fees stated in your
lease.
If you need financing for the purchase of your Hyundai or if you are interested
in an extended warranty, our team is here to help. Our experienced finance team
can walk you through your purchase options, including finding competitive rates
with our wide range of lending partners.
3 - Return Your Hyundai
Returning your Hyundai at Lee Johnson Hyundai of Everett is a quick and easy process. We recommend completing a lease-end self-assessment at least 60 days prior to returning your Hyundai to identify any potential excess wear and use charges. If you expect to have any charges, this also gives you an opportunity to make any repairs necessary before your lease ends. Â
When you are ready to return your Hyundai, we recommend making an appointment to ensure we are staffed and ready to help. When you arrive for your return, we will collect your keys and any other vehicle equipment (cargo covers/net, owner's manual, etc.) then we will help you complete your odometer turn in statement.
