3-Day New Car Return or Exchange Policy:

If you don't like the new vehicle you originally purchased, bring it back to us within 3 days OR 300 miles and return it or exchange it for another new, in-stock, vehicle from Lee Johnson Auto Family (LJAF).*

*Details and disclaimers listed below.

PROGRAM DETAILS

The purchaser may return an eligible, new vehicle, or exchange it for another, in-stock, new vehicle within 3 calendar days (day 1 is the day of purchase) or 300 miles, whichever comes first, if not completely satisfied with the purchase. Vehicle must be exchanged at the LJAF store location from which it was originally purchased, in its original condition, by the original purchaser(s), and be accompanied by all original documentation. LJAF WILL NOT refund tax, title, registration, dealer documentation or license fees. However, the customer may be eligible for abatement from WA State for some of these costs. Vehicle insurance, life insurance, disability insurance and/or any related expenses are all separate transactions from the vehicle purchase and are the sole responsibility of the customer.

Return/Exchange Details:

If the purchaser chooses to return this vehicle, the purchaser will receive the following:

• The down payment and any other amounts paid toward the principle balance of the financial agreement.

• If there was a trade in vehicle, it will be returned. If any reconditioning costs have been incurred on the vehicle, the amount will be deducted from the down payment refund amount. If there was no down payment, the customer may receive a bill for the reconditioning costs.

• If the traded in vehicle has already been sold, the customer will receive the agreed upon equity from the trade less any reconditioning costs incurred by LJAF.

If the purchaser chooses to exchange this vehicle for another in-stock, new vehicle, the purchaser will receive credit for the following:

• The down payment and any other amounts paid toward the principle balance of the financial agreement.

• The agreed upon trade in value/equity from traded vehicle.

• If the purchase price of the vehicle being exchanged is less than the purchase price of the replacement vehicle, the purchaser will pay the difference. If the purchase price of the vehicle being exchanged is greater than the purchase price of the replacement vehicle, the purchaser will receive credit for the difference. Any changes or modifications in finance or lease agreements resulting from these transactions are subject to the approval of the funding source. Customer must re-apply and be re-approved for the new credit terms to complete the exchange.

Exclusions:

• Out-of-state buyers (any non-WA State resident or any vehicle purchased for registration outside of the state of WA).

• Fleet vehicles (any vehicle to be used for commercial purposes).

• Vehicles for livery use (any taxi, rideshare, or delivery services).

• Customers or family members of customers who have previously returned or exchanged vehicles under this program.

• Vehicles acquired in exchange under these programs.

• Vehicles that have had any after-market accessories installed or modifications made to them (returning the vehicle to OEM specification does not qualify it for the program once aftermarket work has been done).

Vehicle Inspection:

Any vehicle returned/exchanged under this program will be inspected by the LJAF New Vehicle Department and General Manager of the return/exchange location. The vehicle will be inspected for eligibility, including but not limited to damage, excessive wear and tear, and evidence of aftermarket equipment not originally delivered on the vehicle. If it is determined that a non-warranty repair has been performed or is necessary and equals $250 or greater, the vehicle is not eligible to be returned or exchanged. If this repair amount is less than $250. The damage repair estimate will be deducted from the refund or credit amount due.
